Created in 2002 upon the request of the French government in order to derive value from the nation’s enormous intangible assets, the Artistic Crafts Days (Journées des métiers d’art) became the European Artistic Crafts Days in 2012. They are now a major international event dedicated to crafts.
Organised by the National Institute of Arts and Crafts (INMA), during three days, workshops open their doors to the public and outdoor demonstrations are held with the participation of professional practitioners and training schools.
In France and 18 other European countries, this cultural, economic and tourism event brings together over 9,600 events from Paris to Lisbon, Berlin, Amsterdam, Florence and Geneva.
In the early spring, the EACD offers the opportunity to learn more about our country and the regions in an original way that brings people together through the prism of the arts and crafts, sharing,exchanging, and learning through a dynamic sector
